Dana your such a great daughter for doing this for your mama. I didn't realize how creative you are. You inspire the rest of us grown adults and continue to give us hope. I love you for that. Your mom taught you well. I will see what I can do.

I remember Laura & I going to Costco, then it was called Price Club I think. It was our very first time going. We jumped in my Firebird and off we went to Martinez. You would have thought that we were two little kids going to Disneyland for the first time. We were awe struck at the king size everything! When we got done shopping we pushed two very heavy carts out to my Firebird. We looked at each other and just started cracking up! How were we ever going to get all this super sized stuff in that small sports car. Laura being the best packer in the world said "We can do this!" Other shoppers looked on saying no way. Well we did it. Closing the hatchback was rather like closing an over stuffed suitcase that you have to sit on and pray the zipper holds. We had stuff all around us and could not see each other because of the giant sized paper towels between us. Had we had an accident we would have been just fine with our very own airbag protection of toilet paper. At Laura's house we got out and looked at my car dubiously. I said you open the lid, she said oooohhhnooo you open the lid. We devised a plan, do it together and run like crazy! We just knew that the minute the pressure was let off that lid the whole court would be covered in toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, cups, napkins and other springy exploding stuff. We were laughing so hard we practically fell on the ground and we forgot to run. Fortunately neither of us was hurt with flying projectiles, only a few things came tumbling out and the court was saved from a disaster of exploding paper goods. It is a time I fondly remember of two people howling with laughing until we hurt. I'm sure the neighbors peeking out the windows thought we had just gone crazy.

I love you and I will miss your presence on this side of heaven Laura. Kyle, Dana, Chad & Roni, there will be many, many wonderful stories here about your mother. She still is a very special person and she has left in you a legacy of her spirit & heart.

I have so many special memories of Laura--Dana and Michelle were in talent show in the 5th grade, one of first times I knew that she and Dana were special--practicing and having fun introducing us to country music! She was also "Miss organization" when planning not only the 8th grade Stewart graduation celebration with our kids but also to meet and plan their awesome graduation party from high school. We celebrated with 4 graduates (Dana,Michelle,Brian and Tami)not only from Stewart but thru PVHS and they continue their special bonded friendship.During these years great, fun times together. Laura LOVED to dance and we had our share of enjoying wine together! I will never forget our garage party with all the kids and the moms enjoying our time in the front yard relaxing--we ended up country line dancing in our garage on Paloma St.for a very special night! We had a blast--Laura, Teri,Dana, Michelle,Raylene,Jamie,Tami, Vicki and lots of others! Whenever I hear Shania Twain songs I think of Laura and our fun, heartwarming night that summer.Last time we all danced together was at the high school graduation party in 2004!!Awesome mom and friend and a very classy lady. Queen of At Home America and having every lady she knew host those parties !! I will miss her dearly. But but we will make sure all of her future grandchildren will know how special she was. Very proud mother who took in all of the kids for Survivor--she loved all those kids and always looked forward to Survivo.Lastly, Laura loved her "me" time on her front porch. We will keep those flowers blooming for her! I love you Laura! You have a very special place in my heart. Thanks for being in our lives and being a 2nd mom to Michelle.Love you forever, Monica Cohen

I have so many beautiful/wonderful memories of Laura. Laura and I met on her and Ron’s Wedding Day. It was my first day out after giving birth to our son Jefferey. It wasn’t long after their wedding that we all became fast friends. Our daughter Rachelle came along (Sissy to many at that time) loved swimming, and Laura would haul her and all the other young kids would were taking swimming lessons at the “Y”. Rachelle informed Laura that she wanted to join the swim team. I believe at that time Rachelle was the youngest swim team member they had ever had 3 ½ yrs. old, and thanks to Laura, she made it happen, got her a team suit the whole bit.. Then the next greatest memory was when Rachelle was 5 year’s old and attending Bethel Christian Academy, and she was in Kindergarten. Well April and May came along and Rachelle had to make her “Mother’s Day Present”, which she proceeded to give to Laura for Mother’s Day. Sissy really really loved Laura, and all her brothers, and Lisa. They all spoiled her so much………….she loved it.

Laura every time I go to write something I just can’t get past the tears & crying…………….we were friends, sometimes close, very close, and …………sometimes not so close, but always there for one another. I love you and miss you terribly. Knowing you are no longer in any pain helps all of us mortal souls here on year. Some day soon as will all be together again.

    Love you,
    Ja Nell
